My MR weathered Clone helmet

How dare you, sir!!
How dare you post those pictures and expect us to believe that's your first attempt!!

:cool

Looks AMAZING!!!! :thumbsup Incredible job.

looks good, i do gotta ask though, why not use a much cheaper fan made helmet as the base?
Modifying the MR to me has destroyed its value, unless you never decide to get rid of it...

Ortiz, read your signature.... "dont ever tell me what I cant do, EVER!"

I think it looks top notch, way better than stock. :cool

Great job! :thumbsup

The only critique I can offer is that the airbrushing doesn't look "gritty" enough. It's a little too smooth. I know it goes against everything you normally try to do with an airbrush, but if you'll thin your mix a little more so that you get some splatter I think it will look more dirty and realistic.

That stated, you did a great job and that's a bucket to be proud of :thumbsup

Yeah that was something I was thinking about.

My thechnique is pretty simple. I weather with Floquil brand paints. I used grimy black, weathered black and foundation. I airbrush the area verylightly with one color and may go over a certain area a few times to darken up an area. The black marks were simply brushed on and I used an exacto knife to scratch away at the orange mowhawk.

Great job. A few washes might add a little depth. It would be best on the vertical ear channels. Also, maybe add a blaster burn.
