My LOTR display

Hey gang,

Well my LOTR display is finally complete. I have my custom framed Adam map, (and thanks to Dropship Bob) an MR Sting, licensed one ring, custom sculpted Sauron finger with light-up ring and an Andruil wall hanger.

Here's a pic

Enjoy.

Nice. :) Love the map.. What room did you put it in?

Currently we're redoing our den and diningroom so my stuff is in my bedroom. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night and seeing Sauron at the foot of your bed.

Thanks, Guri :D

As an apartment dweller with roommates, it's in the only room I can furnish, my bedroom. Thankfully, I snagged the largest bedroom in the house, so it's more like a theater room with a bed and PC :love

Thanks, everyone :D

Hey Jim, see all the patchwork in the wall I was telling you about? Those were all the different places I had mounting screws in trying to figure out the best way to display everything.

Ironfist, I got the sauron finger from dropshipbob. I believe it's a custom sculpt from one of our members, but he can tell you more about it than I can.

I wanted to hang the swords vertically along side the map, but as you can see, I'm right up against the corner and the window casement. If I could have hung them the way I wanted, I would have hung the ring from Sting's crossguard, but this is a fairly decent second arrangement.

I'll try and take a closer pic of sting and finger tonight.

Fred, I saw that. Your landlord is gonna freak out when he/she sees that. :lol

That particular Sauron finger was sculpted by Jim Maddox (edylhands). I don't think he visits here anymore.
The ring was sold with the finger and was a novelty item sold by Applause (I think). It lights up, but the switch is pretty difficult to get to once it's on the finger.

More info than you wanted, but...there it is. :)

Nah, in a couple of days, when I feel the plaster has dried solid, I'll give it a quick sanding and a repaint and noone will ever know it's there :thumbsup. Besides, are they gonna argue with a guy who has a room full of swords and guns (well, replicas, anyway) hanging from the walls ;) :lol ?

With the light up ring, I find that if I push it towards the knuckle and twist slightly, it turns on. Pull it back and it turns off. It looks like it may be a momentary switch configuration.
