So aside from the costume I've been working on for Halloween, I had a rare opportunity to snag this from a Premiere Props auction for this screen-used Hero costume worn by Andy Samberg in "Hot Rod." I've always wanted this, but their site price was way too high for me, so I was able to acquire it for under half their asking price on a winning Ebay bid a couple weeks ago.
Here's the actual outfit (It photographs really weird... With a flash the white stars and dirt markings are way more pronounced than in person):
I've been having a heck of a time trying to figure out exactly what scenes it appears in, but have so far come to the conclusion based on the star arrangement and placement's exact match to my costume as well as the slender width and wear of the red stripes that it was the one photographed for the movie poster as well as a couple other scenes I have pictured:
I'm so glad I finally got this and also it will be neat to see how close I came to matching it on this year's Halloween costume replica I made for our Halloween party this year.
Many months ago also I was able to purchase the boxing headgear from Premiere Props as well and it's the one from the scene pictured here:
It's one of my guilty pleasures. Yeah it did TERRIBLE at the box office, but I'm a great fan of the film and Andy Samberg's humor.
Thanks for looking!
