My Iron Man Mark3 helmet from windlass/sideshow

Here are some pics of my older lifesize Ironman Mark 3 helmet from sideshow/windlass.Its not 100% screenaccurate,I know,but after a little polishwork its a nice piece for any Ironmanfan.
After a not so good review from Captain Toy and some really bad pics in it and all over the internet,I must say,that the helmet isn´t so bad.
Mine is in perfekt condition and comes with an awesome polishkit.With this you can crinding the brass face with 2000 grid sandpaper and polish all scratches out in seconds.So you can polish deep scratches out,easy..no problem.

But here are some pics of my helmet..I used movielike positions so it looks so much better as all the bad pics in the net and the shots in the C.T.-Review.I wanna build lights in the eyes in the next weeks and make the wrong high reflecting face more flat brushed ..so i hope it looks more better.
about the poses:In the movie,Ironman never lifts up his head an jaw..he looks ever a little bit down like a bird of prey..so I have done that for my helmet,too..:

Out of the box,the brass is not polished and looks like this..but with the polishkit you clean it in an half hour..:

Not bad at all, I've always liked the idea of having a fully metal Iron man helmet (it just makes sense to me ), and pictures of this have been hit and miss, but yours are good. I agree about the head tilting down thing.

How "large" is the helmet? I have a large noggin and even though I dont plan on running around with it on, I refuse to buy a helmet that I cant EVER put on.

Yes,the real ironeffekt is it,why I like this helmet so much.The helmet feels like a real armorpiece and not like a piece of plastic.

The problem with this helmet was the bad prototype-pics on the sideshowsite and the qualityproblems on a lot of this helmets(on the colour and the brass..but the brass can easy polished).And then the really bad pics and videos of some owners in so bad positions.But I hope that my pics are showing how much better this helmet can look,when you make better pics of it.

About the size:
The helmet is big enough to fit big heads,too.You can open it with a mechanical part at the back of the head.Its all well made and very sturdy.
I can make pics for you from the opened helmet and the inside,when you need.No problem.

Very cool pics! Didn't realize that it openned from the back. Very different from all the fan-made ones I've seen.

So is the chrome Mark II version considered inaccurate compared to this Mark III version or was it just a bad prototype? I've always wanted the MR Mark II helmet but those comparison pics with the inaccurate "straight-brow" turned me off to it.

Thanks..I´m happy,that you like my pics.Yes,the opening part on the back is really cool.;-)

Here are all pics from the windlass MK2 I´ve found..you see it looks different on every pic.The problem is,if you go to close with the camera,the eyes or the jaw are looking too big for the rest of the helmet.And it looks totally out of shape...same with the wrong position on the stand.I´ve never seen a windlass MK2 real in person..so I cannot say,whats the truth with the brow and the wrong eyesize and shape.I have only the MK3..and this one looks exact like the one on my pics.

And thats interesting..its from the same helmet from the first pic from windlass...the eyes are looking to big and wrong in shape..
