my iron man 2 arc reactor display

decided to make a little display from the hasbro arc reactor. i took the reactor apart and took out all of the electronics but left in the led part (i changed the leds to white ones though), wired it up using a 3 AAA battery pack (which is a LOT brighter than using the standard 2 AA) and fitted a little switch on the back of the display. made a stand from some mdf and pvc tubing i had in and sprayed gold and red to mimic iron man's costume. overall looks pretty good, and since it didnt cost me anything i'm pretty happy, better than just having the arc reactor sat on a shelf :)

Very very cool, but I would of painted the base to look like metal, i think theres too much red going on, great work tho.

I agree. Would be cool to see it matching the MK1 display (with glass case). That aside, I still think it looks great. Top work friend!:):thumbsup

Great job! but have you thought of adding a little detal paint to the arc reactor itself? maybe a little black on the tips of the "bolts". just to give it a little more depth.

i thought about a perspex lid for it, but thats where the cost of the case would be, where as at the minute its not actually cost me anything since i had all the bits in. I could repaint the base, but not sure silver would suit? the idea was that the red and gold paint scheme matches iron man's suit
