I would like to first thank everyone who contributes to this site, as it was a great source of knowledge and inspiration for my first project. After seeing some of the great props and costumes, I really wanted to give this a go.
This project started about a month ago and I learnt a lot in the process. I would like to give special thanks to James Bruton @ xrobots.co.uk and Stealth for their great YouTube tutorials, from which I took some ideas from on materials and construction.
I wanted to make an Arc Reactor out of parts that didn't need much machining, but looked fairly realistic, hence the reason this build isn't entirely screen accurate, but a bit of a cross between the MK I and Mk II reactors.
My overall ambition is to make a suit...but I feel the reactor may just become a cool desk light.
