My first Moebius kit-Viper Mk II

This was another quick build, 'bout a week. I just wanted to get it done and out of the stack. This is also my first Moebius kit I've built. I know this kit is old news having been out for a what, a few years now? Yep, the wings and engines were a little tricky to assemble. I had to read and re-read the instructions a few time before committing to glue. But it all went together. I don't remember it being mentioned but the decals in this kit were crap. Very thick and many cracked. Maybe the kit was just too old, I don't know. They responded somewhat O.K. to Solvaset. The stripe that wraps around the nose I just tossed and hand painted it instead.

All in all, I'm happy with it. I haven't weathered her yet, not sure if I will. Anyhoo, here are some pics of her on my work bench. I'm restarting a Hasbro X-Wing mod that has languished far too long. Enjoy.

That looks like it just rolled out of the factory showroom! Beautiful. I usually don't really like clean looking starships but this is the exemption! NICE!

You made it look great, though. Good job.

Thanks guys. The secret was mixing a red to match the decal colors to hide where they cracked, or where they didn't reach because of falling apart. If I ever build another Viper I'll just paint all of the stripes.
