My Daughter's Halo Costume...COMPLETED

The Mantis

Sr Member
My daughter never wants to be something simple...never a ghost or a pirate...one year she wants to be a Biker Scout, the next she wants to be Kitty Pryde from X-MEN and this year she wants to be Master Chief from Halo....well, since she OWNS me of course I couldn't said no...armor to be painted and put together this weekend so more pics coming but here is her customized Legendary Helmet with full liner, motorcycle lense etc...she says its very comfy! Took me nearly a full day to rip it apart and make it wearable...stay tuned:

10/21/07 Update
OK, this was a dad and daughter project and built and designed together (so be nice)....most of you will recognize we used several biker scout suits to make this and had to do a lot of cutting and shaping to make this interpretation of Master Chief......but here it is complete and ready for the school parade, town parade and of course, halloween night!

That's absolutely adorable! How old is she? My little brother is 10 and I'm currently working on the hard armor for his Leonidas costume, so kids wanting to be seemingly outlandish things for Halloween is nothing new to me. :)

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

Well how cool a dad are you! That's fantastic.

My step dad would have just laughed at me and thrown his Scotch and water into my face.

Then I would have had to go make him another one.

:unsure

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

Thanks everyone....Ellis is eleven and although not a tomboy she loves the action oriented movies and costumes...of course the armor and boots etc will not be dead on but we are trying our hardest to get a good interpretation down.

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

Nice work Dad! After doing a mini Boba Fett I know that these mini versions can sometimes be harder to do than the full sized versions.

Better not let my 10 year old son see this or I know what he'll be having me build for next year :eek

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

Yup, excellent work, Dad. You have a great thing going. Nice to see an father who's engaged with the kids!

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

What a great Dad, I know the hours my husband spent on doing our daughter's custom mando armour and helmet, and then me making a mini sized flightsuit, let alone finding boots to fit. ( she not long turned 12)

A great job, would love to see pics of her in her other costumes.

Cheers

Re: My Daughter's Halo Costume

Very Cool!!! :thumbsup What a cool Dad!

You should check out a motorcycle shop for a gold chrome helmet shield (I found one that is called Spectra Gold) and it would blend in with that helmet perfectly.

Keep the pictures coming, want to see the whole thing finished.

Good start,Just hope she dosen't want to do Robbie The Robot as a Halloween costume or a Transformer.
