My Chewbacca Costume

That truly is a great looking Chewie, I'm new to this board and hope to learn a few things along the way.
Here's my first Chewbacca, have new fur from NFT on the way.

Nice man! I've been starting concept art to make a custom wookie. Think you can point me in the right direction, or show me some tutorials?

You have really got the look just right ,excellent job its very hard to get chewie right:thumbsup I get on the making wookie forum and am trying to do a Tarfful costume at the moment ...trying !

I'm still disillusioned with Star Wars, but I am not having a very $$$ costume sit in a box for years. Besides I did my part for the Midwest Garrison many years ago, I am retired from events.

I believe I costumed with you in when you were wearing that costume at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago when they had that movie exhibit.

:)

You know, I've always wondered, how exactly did they get Chewbacca's mouth to move in the movies? It looks like it's the mask is to far away from the actor's mouth to be moved that way. Perhaps a device inside the mask that the actor bit on to make the mouth open and close?

Yay, noobs are reviving old threads all over the place. :rolleyes

There's really not enough gray fur in that suit. And the way you can see the toes of the KISS boots ruins the look of the feet, IMO.

There are some really great Chewies being made in the Rebel Legion lately.

All of that may be true, but the amount of people actually coming close to capturing the LOOK of Chewbacca's FACE are nil. This is the best one I have seen posted to date.
