Very nice costume, but I think your true accomplishment is getting in shape.

As someone who's been attempting to do the same thing, I can sympathize with how difficult and challenging that task is, so congratulations to you!

Awesome pics, btw!

Ok, so seriously I'm not one to tell people to go look at partially nude men bearing arms...
but I'm so seriously proud and impressed by these pictures. I've NEVER collaborated with my brother before on any project, but suffice to say after this I will HAVE to.

His work has really made my confident about my art, through his art.
Anyway...
here's the album (along with the rest of his portfolio, You guys might notice some sick cars in there if you look abit more)

And some of my favorite shots:

Fan-freaking-tastic!!! :love:love:love They are like movie stills. You found a great place to take photos and you are correct. Both you and your brother's talents stand out.

I especially love the shots of you poised to throw the spear and the one of you perched on the rock.

:cool:thumbsup

Wow you really did a good job on everything. I especially like the way you did the fiberglass parts. Might give me some ideas for when I redo mine.

Good job on the diet too. So far I have yet to get to that level of leanness/muscle mass.

Amazing journey and fantastic results.

Couldn't help smiling at the photo with the dumbell weights holding down the shield - seemed to sum up your whole story!

Inspiring stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful.....Love the build and yours build lol

You look great. i am shedding weight myself. Just lost 8 kilograms. 13 to go then I am ready to go to the gym.

Might I enquire as to the workout you used? Anything in particuliar?

Ok, So I have been getting quite a few PMs about my personal workout...
Be warned it's un-conventional... and 4:00 in the morning, so I will edit later.
But here's the jist of it: *copypaste*

"
I'm sure you get a ____ton of PMs about your costumes as they're awesome, but I'm curious if you have any sort of advice/recommendations when it comes to working out/routines/supplements/etc? Seeing your Spartan progress over the past year or so has been mad impressive and the finished product looks great!

Any information or help is greatly appreciated"

If you don't have a gym and a trainer, which I haven't this 'round' of working out....

Everyday no excuses, at least 5 minutes ea. of
Intense sit ups, in variation.
Intense push ups, in variation
Dips
Pull ups (as many as possible)
Hanging leg raises are awesome too, if you have the pull up bar.
Squats and their variatons are great, I hate them... but they should be included as well

Every day if possible,
Run or Bike for at least 30 minutes, or some other activity related.

Every other day,
explosive weight workouts.
Personally I use a kettle bell for this. Basically it involves cardio/calisthenic type movement, but incorporating the kettle bell as something that forces weight displacement.
For instance, I'd do sets of squats while tossing and catching the kettle bell between hands.
My kettle bell is 30lbs.
For the film training, for instance... the guys would flip a monster truck tire across the floor, and THEN drag it back in forth behind them. Cardio+short burst weights.
If you have access to free weights, use them. There are tons of exercises
When I do bench press I do about 25lbs with high repetition.

Granted, I slacked off on this routine, but I stuck with it enough before Halloween to get me where I needed.

Supplement wise, I recommend LOW FAT protein shakes for snacks before and/or after workouts.
Creatine, is also a very helpful supplement... I used that 2 years ago and it worked fantastically, but I can't afford it now. I'd continue using it if I could... It increases the amount of blood flow to your muscles during workout, as well as helps you retain water that you take in. IE, you can do more reps during your workouts, and your recovery time is faster. It does not make you bigger directly, but it does help you sustain and intensify your workouts. (Nothing like a steroid)

Diet wise. Eat well... Eat lots. Just make sure it's healthy!
NO fast food
NO soda of ANY KIND
NO dessert (unless you worked out really freakin hard that day...)
NO Beer! :( (Unless you worked even freaking harder to compensate)

Definitely eat:
Eggs
Greens
Turkey
Whole grains.

Stay away from:
white breads
the 'frozen meal' section
cheese
foods that require condiments (Like mayo)
But if you must... get the LF kinds.

Ummmm, I think that's it?

ALSO:
Here's some great reading material from the Gym that did it first:
