MR to re-issue TOS Enterprise?

I don't think it was a re-issue, rather finishing up the run with a final batch.

I am DYING to know if the quality will be better then what has already shipped.

If they fixed some nagging issues, I would order another.

Actually,

I'd think it'd be more interesting if they issued a variant TOS Enterprise based on one of the two pilot episodes.

I'd be nice to see a larger-scale Enterprise done up like it was in "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

"The Cage" is a bit too plain for my likes even though it's essentially with a bit fewer paint details.

Better yet would be a new scaled release based on the model used for the first six films.

Hey, if Art Asylum can get as much mileage as they did out of their $40 Enterprise releases ("Cage", "WNMHBG," "production version" TOS Enterprise; Ent-A, TWOK Enterprise, TSFS Enterprise) based on THREE molds (OR, more likely two molds with interchangeable parts and minor repaints), MR could do no worse! :lol

Re: MR to retAssue TOS Enterprise?

Heh... they should re-issue the TOS phaser so I can get one at retail. :lol

Re: MR to retAssue TOS Enterprise?

There are much better ones out there.

And doesn't a re-issue kind of shoot down the whole "limited" myth anyway?

Yeah, I know there are better ones... I think I just like the MR cases :lol:lol:lol

And yeah, I seriously wouldn't want them to reissue anything they put out. I really wonder what the deal is with the Enterprise, though--I really do hope it's the last batch of them and not them deciding to make more. Were they at any point sold out on the website (the LE version)?

Never stopped them before! My Han blaster went from $3000 to $600.
I really don't hate MR, just taking some cheap digs. I really hope they make it and crank out some nice Trek props, I just don't think it is gonna happen...

Re: MR to retAssue TOS Enterprise?

I'm surprised MR hasn't reissued the Enterprise as a static model. Seems like an inexpenseive no-brainer to me. I for one would trade down to a static model, because as much as I enjoy my current MR Enterprise, it looks very lifeless when the lights aren't on (especially the nacelle caps - the clear frosted caps don't add much to the model when it's off).
