MR Qui-Gon LE Restoration - Help/Suggestions Requested

Wondering if anyone here knows/remembers how to take apart a Master Replicas Qui-Gon saber. I recently got back one that I had given to a friend 10 years ago and while not in horrible shape, it does have some nicks, scratches, and dings. I thought I'd give a go at restoring it and getting it apart would be most helpful, at least the outer sleeve/shroud.

Additionally, does anyone know what these are made of? The shroud appears to be plastic. the emitter seems like it might be metal but I can't tell.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated

That's the CE, not the LE. I think that both the shroud and emitter are aluminum, just bead blasted. I'd spin it in some scotch-bright pads and you should be able to get a nicer finish than the original.

I was unsure of that myself so I did some checking. It's definitely the LE. Date on pommel matches up and Limited Edition is printed on back. That said, the scotchbrite pads could work. Even still, I'd like to get this apart if I could.

Thanks for the suggestion

All I see is battle damage. I don't know what all this restoring is about... ;)

The only thing that bothers me is the chip on the shroud in the first picture. Otherwise I would just chalk it up to battle damage. On the other hand, I thought it might make for a fun project.
