Despite my disappointment with the Assult Phaser, I like what I saw so far of the Tricorder (keeping in mind that the video is of the prototype). It's too bad the hand model didn't rotate the tricorder so that the lights in the front of the unit could be seen.
No indication of whether the sound effects on the unit can be varied. I'm personally not a fan of the high pitched beeping that accompanies the warbling sound, and it would be nice if there were multiple audio options, but I can live with it if there aren't.
Here's hoping the Tricorder will be a winner :lol
