MR FX Vader ESB Comparison pics?

I just picked up an MR Force FX ESB Vader saber for $39.99 at my local Shopko, and was curious what the size differenece is of the hilt compared to the normal MR prop version, pics would be awsome. Also, I noticed my blade has a slight curve in the last half of the blade, any idea how to straighten that out? Thought about getting a fairly tight pvc tube and pushing it through there to straighten out, but curious if anyone else has had the problem. Thanks.

Here's a quick comparison I just took with my MPP replica (ANH version).

As you can see, the size is pretty much spot on:

I have a Larbel EL ESB Vader. The wires have been lost. Can any one tell me the colors of the two small wires? Are they supposed to be black/ white or brown/ white?
Thanks,
Vince

any more pics? any idea with the curved blade, no one else has had one?

Would you mind posting a pic? Iv seen bending from it beeing on the stand but i dont know how severe it is.
You could allways try putting it on the stand the other way around so that it droops back down to where it should be. Im not sure if it would work though.

Insert funny bent jokes here, uh wait... insert funny bent jokes here is a joke in itself. Ha-ha

I wouldnt start bending on the blade, you might frag the circuit board thingy. Is it bent at the hilt or along the blade ?

Brown/white my man:)

With the brown on top unlike the last 500 or so LEs where the white is on top....

This isn't quite what you want but over on rebelscum here at the bottom there is a comparison of the ANH Vader FX and LE.

I'm sure I have some pics comparing the ESB FX and LE somewhere - I'll try and find them.

Some comments though - I have both the ANH and ESB LEs and FXs - whilst in dimensions and in pics the FXs don't appear to be much bigger when you have them side by side and hold them the differences are far mor apparent. The ESB is better obviously as it's closer to the LE than the ANH is - but in both cases the FX feels 'chunky' in comparison with it's LE counterpart. On display though they look almost identical (apart from the inside of the emitter obviously.) - I actually had a de-bladed ESB Vader FX on display for quite some time before upgrading to an LE.

The blade was slightly cureved near the far end, not near the hilt. Speaking of deblading, i was doing that to mine last night, seeing this picture from an online tutorial, it appeared that once this was done, the blade could just be plugged in and out:

but after taking mine apart, it appears completely different, the inside actually attaches to the blade with a wired plug... not easily removable or reinsertable:

Any ideas on this?

Also, speaking of the inaccurate end of the inside, any idea where i could get the accurate piece for that? I was also thinking i could update the crappy plastic clamp and inaccurate button ion this as still work, any help finding that would be appreciated as well. I also found once the blade was unplugged, the motion activated and button activated sounds within still work :D

yeah mine also has the crappy inaccurate version clamp and button assembly, totally different than the tutorial, which is why i wanna replace the clamp and button.

I forgot to add that when I de-bladed mine and re-did the inside of the emitter I didn't go all out and try and replicate the 'spring' around the edge (which was on the ANH FX, but removed for the ESB FX). I just took the saber to a hardware store and found a cool looking little plastic 'tray' and nut to seat in the emitter and cover the hole. Maybe some kind of spring cut in half would work around the edge though.

I still can't find pics of my old de-bladed FX - if they are on my other PC (which is the last place to look) then I'll post them.

has anyone else done something like this with this version? I had a thought that if i can find another connector similar, i could make the wire connection longer, so I could unlock the tube, pull it out, disconnect and push the wires back down inside until i need to pull them out again to reconnect. Anyone have a clue what type of connector it is that i might find at RadioShack?

You could allways get a conversion kit from The Custom Saber Shop

The connect that is in some models is a DIN plug. Radioshack doesn't sell just the plugs. They do list the cords though. I've never tried to open the wire... maybe if you open it splicing would work.

well i dont need theplugs, i need an extra wire with the connectors on each end, so i can basically extend the connection

Well, the exact connector MR used is Molex connectors part number 87369-0800.

If you just want to extend the wires though it doesn't matter. You can use anything with 8 connections.
