hey guys. im hoping someone here can help me. ive been racking my brain on how to make the rangefinder on the boba fett helmet im building move with a motor.in my head i have a DC power source, a single switch (double throw) with 2 limit switches to stop it at fully lowered and fully raised. one direction on the switch will be up and the other down. id like to try to avoid using relays if possible. if anyone can help me with a wiring diagram to show me how to construct it id be forever grateful. i know the solution in most likely very simple but for some reason im missing it.

^^

That.

I had toyed around with the idea for my jango helmet years ago. Though, I went the route of using a servo motor..of course, though, you need a control board to properly operate it. Something I didn't have

ok guys thanks for the suggestion but i think i wanna stay away from the remote control style.
I was able to come up with this design (sorry for the poor picture). please take a look and tell me what you think.and if you think it would work.i also wanted to put this up for anyone else wanting to make it happen without remote control. in this way id probobly run the wire out of the helmet to one of the switches on the left gauntlet
again thanks for the sugestion
