Movies that make you cry.

"YOUR MOM'S NOT IN THERE IAN!"

Every. Damn. Time.

Same for me, although its my number 2.

Number 1 on my list is "Life as a house"..... I wept at the end of that one.

I pretty much have to say that fatherhood has turned me into a complete softie when it comes to movies like this.

In Star Trek, when Kirk's dad sacrifices himself - I saw that soon after becoming a father, and I absolutely lost it (probably more than the two above movies combined)

Watching Big Fish at this very moment....such a damn good movie.

"Your mothers a gypsy" "yeah well your mothers a B*tch"

hahaha

Some great movie choice's here. I find that its a combination of beautiful music combined with great acting within the scene that sets me off. I cant watch the majority of Schindlers list due to this. Others are

Forrest Gump - Forrest at her grave under the tree
Star Trek: Wrath of Khan - Spocks funeral
Saving Private Ryan - lots of scenes in this one
Return of the King - "my friends, you bow to no one"

theres loads more but its what makes great cinema.

I think I cried when I saw Rocky Balboa as he broke down in front of Pauly, not knowing hard it was supposed to be going on without Adrian.

Before that...can't remember except in the theaters when I saw the Green Mile when John Coffey (like the drink only spelled different) was being led to his execution. The entire execution scene kept the waterworks flowing.

Oh wait...the opening scene of the recent Star Trek movie by Abrams. The duality of life and death--George Kirk's infant son coming into the world while he was about to make his own exit. That pain and sacrifice of life and death set to such an amazing score. It was heart wrenching.

A couple that I'm surprised no one has mentioned...
Spartacus
Click
Sixth Sense

Soylent Green - When Sol goes home. In real life Edward G. Robinson was dying of terminal cancer. No acting needed for that scene.

And too many Pixar movies to count

Not too many movies make me cry, but I just recently watched The Earthling...I cried pretty much the whole time

Just remembered, when the feral kid in Mad Max 2 wants to leave with Max, and he won't let him. Another almost dialogue-less scene that almost tears me up.
And John Connor tearing up when the T-800 goes into the melting pot is a close one too.

It was just on the other night "Children of Men" the part where they bring the baby out of the building under attack, and all the soldiers stop fighting... cry

Downright balled my eyes out in my car for a solid 20 minutes after seeing "Saving Private Ryan."

Also have cried/choked up while watching:
Ladder 49
Band of Brothers
Toy Story 3

I'm sure there are others...I'm a big softy. :)
