Movie Shotguns

Does anyone know what kind of shotguns/shotgun-pistols Antonio used in "Desperado"?
Always wanted a pair of those!:love

When I watched Romancing The Stone it seemed he used a pump, auto, and lever action at times, all supposedly the same gun. Have to watch it again carefully.

No Country for Old Men has shotguns. The cowboy cuts down a store bought pump, while the badguy has one with a giant honking silencer on it. And they use them a lot.

What about that tri-barreled shotgun that was in Blade III, Stargate: Atlantis, a video game and some ridiculous Dracula in space Sci-Fi movie of the week? That thing is pretty kick-ass.

TyRubin Ellingson designed that, and I think it's just supposed to be a rifle, not a shotgun. From his site:

This is the four barrel Night Stalker rifle later called the Bone Jack. In the script the weapon was described as having the ability to shoot a wide ranged of projectiles, from shells to grenades. During the course of production it was also referred to as "the Mud Flap Gun." . It was rendered in pen and marker.

Mind you, this all changed when the prop was built, and barely used.

Didn't Rick O'Connel have on in the Mummy? (I think someone said that it was the same as the one from T2 though.)

So what for sure was hicks's shotgun in Aliens? And does anyone have pics?

Also, it's along shot (since it's a TV show) but I loved wes's shotgun from Angle. Does anyone know what that was?

spas 12 is still my favourite, sadly i'm selling my airsoft one in the junkyard at the moment as funds are needed elsewhere.

also loved the silenced one in no country for old men.

I have all the specs for both the German Flaregun conversion (the little double barrel, and for the Mudd Flap Shotgun from Blade Trinity.

God, I have to find them on one of my hard drives, and three zip drives. :cry:cry

O'Connel's shotgun in Mummy Returns is the same model as the T2 shotgun, and possibly the same actual gun. Both shotguns have the modified, large-loop cocking lever.

If you check the Propstore of London's perm. collection,

Hick's shotgun is an Ithaca with an Mp40 handle.

ya gotta throw some respect to the the quiet one....

The forend used on the shotgun in Dusk till dawn is a butler creek, i finally found one on the bay for my Mossburg 590.

Natural Born Killers, Micky with a Mossburg 590 w heatshield and bayonet and Malorie with a Winchester model 12 with pistol grip rear and forend.

I shot a 10 gauge left hand shotgun in Scouts.

Don't know about you, but seems to me that EVERY shotgun we see in films are just simply VERY cool... Especially the sawed-off variety...

So what all is out there? Here's my list below -- please add to it, or add photos, screen caps, or knowledge about the weapons...

Road Warrior -- Gibson's
I didn't see this one addressed; I'm pretty sure (will research some more) that the shotgun carried by Gibson in MM2:RW was a Stoeger Coach.

I started photoshopping a pic of the Stoeger gun for reference (top photo below). In the screencaps, note the similarities in the shape of the break-action lever, the position of the safety (just behind the break-action lever), placement of screws in the receiver, & the peculiar shape of the trigger guard (specifically the small protrusion behind the rear trigger).

But I've been wrong before...

Looks like you got it. Just narrow down the end of the foregrip.
That was my thought exactly. It seems pretty obvious that the stock fore-end was filed (or sanded) down to the screen-used shape. The stain & checker-carving is missing on the sides & front:
