Motorized Iron Man Helm

So I am making a Mark VI Iron Man costume for Halloween and I am almost done! I made an Iron Man foam helmet, but it looked so bad I trashed it. So I bought an official movie helmet, but I want to mod it so the helm can open. The problem is:
-I don't know what materials I would need.
-I also don't know how I would build/attach the motorized parts.

Any help from anyone would be awesome! :thumbsup

Also, how could I reinforce that helmet? It's made of some flimsy plastic and I would like to be more durable.

you could reinforce the helmet by buying an accurate replica from some builders here. The one you have is as good as its going to get.

There is someone on here that modded that same helmet with great results. Unfortunately I don't remember who or where the post is. It was a post within someone's post.

You could fibreglass the inside of the helmet, but have you tried pepping a helmet yet? If you are going to put this much work into it I'd strongly recommend the pep route. You'll end up with a better final product and it will feel more like your own.
