Monsters In Motion processing time?

I've heard that MIM can be terrible about trunaround, but what is the average time for them to ship out items? I ask because I ordered the Rocketeer helmet kit from them in mid November. What time might I expect to see it?

Their reputation for poor service is well deserved. If they have the item in stock they sometimes take 1-2 months to ship, and if they don't have the item in stock it's anybody's guess. I've heard stories from people who have waited more than two years to receive their order. Besides that, the owner's business ethics are questionable at best.

The only way I'll do business with them is if they're the only source for an item I'm interested in, and then only if I can drive there and pick the item up myself.
 
Well i personally don't care for them and the owner was a jerk to me.
I bought one thing from them and i'll NEVER make that mistake again.

I have bought a few things from them, and one item was just price dropped at the moment I looked. The guy in the office called me just a few moments later, since he was there in the office adjusting the online prices. He had a problem credit card used, but resolved and item shipped out on Monday, and I had it on Wednesday. The 2nd purchase was a known delay in shipment, via it was a pre-order on a soon to be released item. Items were made, but the company went bankrupt before they were shipped out. It took an other year before they finally were released and shipped. MIM wasn't at fault at all. Over all I haven't had any problem at all. The luck of the draw I guess. :love
 
I've received little information from them on my order status, other than it is on Reorder. Or, at least it was as of Nov. 19. I ordered on the 17... I'm wondering what they define as periodically; they said they will update me on the status of the order, and it has been nearly a month since they told me anything, and that was after I e-mailed them because I hadn't recieved any news...

I'll try to call them to see what's up.
 
I've ordered from them three times in about three years and I've had nothing but good luck. The latest was receiving something today I ordered on the 15th.

Well, I called them today. It sounds like they will be able to ship it sometime around the end of Feb or early March. I 'spose I can wait until then...
 
They are terribly slow and have very poor customer service. The last time I was ordered they were quite rude to me when I asked (after 3 months) when I might expect my item. I won't order from them again.
 
Been doing business with Terry and MIM for a dozen years or more. No real problems.
Only slow to ship items that are produced off-site and they cant control production. (took about a year to get my FS Martian, but that wasn't their fault)

When they buy my products, they aren't the fastest to pay, but they aren't the slowest either.
Sometimes they have to wait on me, comes out in the wash I guess.
I have heard many say watch out for them over the years, but I have never been taken advantage of and don't know anyone personally that has.

Terry is a dyed in the wool businessman. Could be a bit nicer to customers, but its his business. I get the impression he wouldn't be to upset if you shopped elsewhere.

Well, I got an e-mail saying it was shipped, so you can probably be expecting pictures of a new helmet on the boards here sometime in the future.:love
