This is my first attempt at creating / modeling / replicating or anything but I have always loved Cyrax so I figured this would be a great place to start. I am posting my progress on here in hopes that it might help someone else do one of their own. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
Enough talk though, On to the pictures!
I downloaded the Pepakura File to have a good starting point on size and shape.

I then hardened it with Bondo Fiberglass resin and clothed the inside of the helmet only for structural support.

Next came the Bondo Body Filler

Smoothing it out. I used 60 grit sandpaper to get the rough stuff off the went to 180 for a smoother finish

1st round of primer to get it all one color, I had a few imperfections so I needed to clean up the lines and smooth out a few areas in the bondo.

Looking good so far!

Time for paint. I wet sanded everything with 600 grit sandpaper first. then cleaned the helmet with alcohol and clean lint free cloths.

Quick test shot before I had to go to work. I shot the entire helmet with an Enamel clear coat for extra protection against scratches and what not.

I still have to do the "hair" and side hosing / tubing or whatever you want to call it.
I will post pics along the way to help anyone else out who wants to build one as well.
