wow, I've never seen or held one in person, how is the action? I had to grease a couple MGC mausers because the action felt... I was worried about cracking the cast zinc

That looks awesome. I hope you keep it as is as these are getting very hard to find in original condition.

Congrats!

I owned 5 of these over the years...2 were converted into blasters (ROTJ DH17 and E-11), two were sold, one ist still unmolested and part of my display.

What you want to "discuss"? ;)

one of the two sold was to me, in 2019. I still have it and hope to keep it for a long time :)

I have one that I converted to an ROTJ E-11. By far my favourite piece in the collection. Something about this blaster that ticks so many boxes

The early MGC were made of metal, not zink. From the 60s to to 1970, metal. After 1970 they went to zink, the sterling was never offered again. The action is smooth as glass. Just requires a little gun oil now and again.

hate to argue semantics, but zinc is a metal

I had a deactivated one (my country has strict weapon laws) and went to all the trouble of molding and casting it and all the SW parts from scratch. This was years ago before 3D printers were cheap and everyone had one:cool: Sold quiet a few over the years before 3D killed the market.

The original was an ugly beast (IMHO) and the SW accessorized parts made it sexy;) My Uncle had the chance to use one for a short time in Vietnam, says they were a solid performer and their length was well suited to the jungle.
