Hi all,
I was planning on doing this for several years now. Time's come. I consider Metal Gear Solid franchise as my religion one could say, so it is an obligation to me, to craft something in honor to Kojimas masterpiece.
I just started on my Raiden build and I am planning to post about the progress somewhere. Guess this forum is the right place.
I want to make this cosplay very high quality. That is why I try to plan everything very thorougly and consider everything in any regard. Like choice of material, manufacturing process, correct sizing etc etc. I am currently basing my build off of a 3D model, which I sized to my height in blender. I export armor pieces from blender to stl, which I then use to 3d print prototypes of parts. Ultimately I want to print at least the smaller parts of the armor.
This is where I encounter my first problems. There are several parts in my 3D model that contain errors and cannot directly be converted to printable files. I reconstruct those files in Fusion 360. Since I currently don't have pretty finished parts to show off, I upload a screenshot of a model out of fusion.
Now I've got a question for you guys. Since modeling everything from scratch, taking measures on a 3D model etc is very time consuming, I was searching for some patterns. In this thread: what peapakura files would you like that have not been made? there is a reference to some pdo file for some armor parts. But I cannot find this file anywhere on the net anymore. Does anyone have this handy by any chance?
Thank you!
