With R2 pretty much wrapped up (or awaiting aluminum part runs!!!) I thought it was time to turn my attention to a few other projects that have been sitting on the bench since the dawn of man kind.

And since I had so much luck with my blog for R2, I thought I would continue the tradition and document the buildup of the Voyager Endgame Tricorder!!!!

Here's the link:

It's still in its infancy, and there's only a few entries, but it is coming along nicely. I really don't want to spend a TON of time building this up, so I hope to see this move along quickly.

The cool thing about blogspot is that you can post comments within the blog, something that my R2 blog did not do.

Me too! It's a neat little guy. SOOOO tiny. I had the good fortune of getting the full-on, tricked-out electronics package for it, so it should turn out really nicely.

Assuming I don't screw it up :)

damn,
after reading the topic I expected either cheap women in chains or oddly enough, a box of Boo Berry cereal.

Guys, you know I'm trying to put that incident behind me, and I don't appreciate your lack of discretion. This thread is supposed to be about my tricorder.

:p

All right! Haven't seen any tricorder buildup threads on here for a while now... so... BUMP! :thumbsup

Are you planning on adding sound as well?

Sound! YES! I just sent off an email yesterday to the resident electronics provider for all things trek. Haven't heard back yet, but I'd love to put sound into it.

The good news is that it's not a pipeline-critical piece, so I can add it in dead last if I have to.

Still lots of progress going on, and the body is turning out really well. Tonight, I'm probably going to put the hinges on, so it'll be looking like a real tricorder in no time.
