Preorderable @ EE, but its apparently cheaper on amazon.

Kinda looks like Billy's... Dutch only used that knife once for a quick second and there is a replica.. Billy used his a few times through the movie, even cut his own friggin chest and fought the pred with it, now thats the replica I want!!

I know billy used to it to taunt the predator by cutting hus chest, but they are marketing this replica as Dutch's. go figure.

They all had them it was standard team issue

I hope Jack Crain is getting NO money off of these

Do we not like Mr. Crain for some reason, or is that sarcasm?

I liked him fine and have in fact a machete he made for me before that film hit the screens.

Now he is little more than a scammer accepting money for knives he never makes.

Want more info. do your homework bro! :p

it's really amazing how times have changed with movie merchandising....

nowadays you slap the name predator on a bag of crap and folks will buy it...bah:thumbsdown

unless you plan on using it to skin an animal,... what real use could you have something that ridiculous.

OK I knew Jack Crain was a film knife propmaker, I just wasnt aware of any drama surrounding his work.

Yeah man, sad too, he is well known in the custom knife collector world for turning into a scammer in recent years.

Shocked me because when I knew him he was a great guy to deal with

Why do these knife companies keep making replicas of movie knives and then slapping the movie logo on it? :wacko I saw them doing that to those new Rambo knives and thought it was stupid.

He took me for $100 for a deposit for the Life Support System I from Commando. That was years ago, before I did my research.

Thankfully, I tracked down one on Ebay last year. Paid an arm and a leg, but I've got it now.

HCG should start making the Commando knives, too. Stick it to Crain again.

Sorry to hear that! :(

Glad to hear ya find one on the bay! :)

HCG should!! :lol

Jack's 'Predator' and 'Commando' knives are Patented and Trade Marked so he had to have given consent for these to be made. Unless the patent ran out? Who knows.

I got out of custom knife collecting a long time ago because of bad experiences with MULTIPLE custom makers who, once they have your money, seem to forget they owe you something. Its as treacherous a business as Sci Fi Costuming,

$100 is nothing in the grand scheme of it all. I know people on this board have been taken for much worse. I should have known to expect trouble when he said he could only take a check. Just cause someone has a website, it doesn't make them legitimate.

I actually keep sending him emails once every few months asking for my money back. No surprise, the latest one is coming back to me as undeliverable.

Thankfully I found a legitimate seller on Ebay. The Life Support System 1 is one of my pride and joys. It's a killer knife and it's rarity only adds to the coolness.

OK I am having a hard time making sense of your post and what your point is?:thumbsdown :confused:thumbsup

First you say it's a shame they'll slap a name on a crappy quality item. Then it sounds like you are saying such a large design is functionally useless, so why would the quality matter as long as it looks like the original?. "Wallhangers" are nothing new.

That is all aside from the legitimacy of the seller of course. If he can't be trusted, don't buy from him! haha!
