If you need any reference of the mechanism used on the wooden talking parrot umbrella Kevin and Jody did for Disney a while back, let me know and I can bust mine out.

I'd love to see the mechanism used for the talking parrot. I just volunteered to make the umbrella for a theater performance, and I'd love to make it talk with some sort of spring system.
