Markings on United Cutlery/Noble Collection LOTR Swords

I'm looking to buy a Glamdring from a local individual, however they do not know who is the manufacturer of the sword. I really want to avoid getting a cheap knock off and was hoping that there was some way to tell if a sword was made by United Cutlery or The Noble Collection(the only two licensed manufacturers I know of). I would assume that they have some kind of markings on them denoting their manufacturer, if so where? And what does it look like?

My thanks in advance!

P.S. Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak to Galmdring in particular, but my UC Uruk-hai scimitar has the following, in very small print, on the blade near the grip:

Lord of the Rings
UC1809 c2002 NLP Inc.
TM Tolkien Ent. Lic. to New Line
Handcrafted in China

All United sword will be marked with there product codes UC____, KT_____(for Kit Rea) and GH____(for Gil Hibben)

And on the UC Glamdring, the serial info will be in the middle of the fuller at the base of the blade.

I'll get a pic of mine up presently.

EDIT: Here we go

Question..on Glamdring (and the others I suppose, but that one in particular)....can you easily scratch off the markings...or is it etched into the blade/impossible to remove?

thanks!

You actually can scratch off the UC marks with say, a dremel, fairly easily. Engravings like elvish writing, however, would be nigh impossible to do so without detection...
