Making costumes for movie premieres?

There's a few big movies coming out next year that I was tempted to make a costume for the premiere. Have you've made a costume for a movie premiere or plan to? And if so, as who or for what?

I did an arkham city/christopher nolan version of the riddler for the dark knight rises, it was pretty lossely based on those photoshopped pictures of david tennant as the riddler.

I had:
an olive green suit vest
a muted purple tie
white dress shirt
black slacks
black dress shoes
an arkham city style cane
a gotham citypolice department badge around my neck.
slome fingerless gloves that I painted purple and put question marks on
and I did some question mark tatoos on my arm ala 'the batman' cartoon

It was my first build and it was pretty terrible so I didn't want to post it on here, what depresses me though is that no one really understood it.

My friends and I did Jedi for Ep1, We actually had them for SW Cel 1 a few weeks before.
We also did Moria Orcs for LotR.
C-3PO for the Charity Premiers of Ep 2-3 in SF and Modesto.
I had a X-Wing pilot for the first showing of ANH SE at the Coronet Theater in SF (sans helmet).
Generic pseudo RotJ Luke for the Art of Star Wars Exhibit in SF (1997 I think)

edit.
I also made a Jedi Padawan outfit complete with helmet and saber for my niece for Ep2 for the local theater (she ended up with several pictures in the local paper along with my Fett)
For Ep3 I made her an X-Wing pilot outfit so we could match, opening day at the local theater.

Gandalf The White for Lord of the Rings - ROTK. Made in three weeks. All reference material were promo pictures and stills from TTT. Did not get time to find proper fabrics: made in fleece and cotton instead of wool and linen.

Jedi costume for Star Wars - ROTS. Started three years before with the specific intent of wearing it at opening night. Costumed at conventions with it in the meantime. Upgraded parts now and then. Basically retired after the movie.

I had wanted to finish a Clonetrooper for the 3D re-release of Star Wars - AOTC that was supposed to have been in Aug 2012, but health issues got in the way, and the 3D conversion was never shown in theatres here anyway.
I really want to make a costume of one of the new characters in Star Wars Episode 7, once info about it has been published.

I started creating costumes in
1997 for the Premiere of the SW SE´s, X-wing pilot.
1997 Men in Black - MIB-Agent
1999 EP1 - Naboo Pilot.
2002 EP2 - Naboo Palace Guard
2002 The Two Towers - Generic human warrior
2005 EP3 - Captain Typho Pilot outfit
2008 Indy 4 - Generic adventurous archeologist ;)

Always fun, but never anywhere near screen accurate because I usually started a few days before the premiere, unless I upgraded a costume, of course.

We usually had a large group of other fans who joined us, organizing a charity event at a local cinema.
Ah, those were the days ...

I usually see the movie first to make sure I enjoy it. The last thing I want is to fall into the Mad Hatter trap. Put together a beautiful and insanely expensive costume to wear to the premiere and half way through realize the movie is utter s***. The one exception was Pirates 4, because I already liked the first 3.

I was dressed as batman for a few of the batman movies and was able to score free tickets to the premiers. Posed with the Cloony batmobile for the media. I was mistaken for warner brothers official batman. I almost walked out of the premier for batman and robin as soon as i hear arnold asMr. freez say Kill da heros!

I did a Batman suit that was TDK style for The Dark Knight Rises. Wasn't the best costume ever, but turned out pretty good for being a rush job that was done in under 2 weeks and was my first build ever. I turned out to have the best costume at the premiere which was a pleasant surprise, and I had a great time just taking pictures with everybody.

Made Colonel Stars and Stripes for the KA2 premiere but wasn't able to use it.

For 2014, have modified my Captain America into the "improved" TFA uniform for the premiere of The Winter Soldier, also have Steve Rogers civilian outfit from the bridge fight.

I started my "Mark I" Vader costume a year prior to the premiere of ROTS, with the intent of wearing it opening night. It was my first foray into costuming, at that level. I had a good time with it.

Used my TFA Costume at the Avengers last summer. Working on TWS version for that premiere in April.
