Ly's Ultimate Spider-Man (Bagley) V2 build *80% COMPLETE*

Re: Ly's Mark Bagley Style Ultimate Spider-Man V2 build

Looks fine....only you will notice. It's like a small imperfection on your car only you know is there...but drives you crazy. It could have been worse. Still looks great

The spider looks nice, the rubber it's a great option to the frames of the lenses to.
The suit looks awesome, congratulations.

Thanks alot guys! I feel better about the spider now:)

I really need to order myself more puffpaint. Kung fu shoes are on my list as well. Speaking of shoes, does anyone have any idea on what to use for the red soles? I usually put the shoes inside the suit and then I glue a separate sole made from rubber sheet on the outside. Problem is that I can't find red rubber sheet, and the urethane ones on ebay are really expensive. Foam won't last a day. Kinda stuck on this part :unsure

Well crap. I totally messed up my mask. I decided to paint some more lines and I accidently grabbed it while the paint was still wet. I should have been more careful:cry

I tried my best at covering it up using red tulip paint and a foam brush. Luckily it's not all too visible when I wear it since it's on the chin, still bummed about it though:unsure

For the lenses I decided to try a different method than the traditional one. Rather than making separate lenses and gluing them on I decided to glue the rubber frames straight onto the mask and then cut out the fabric inside. I then turned it inside out and reinforced it with more glue. So it's basically just a hole there right now, but I will be adding the lenses to the inside of the mask.

You can see the styrofoam head underneath since I haven't added the lenses yet. The shiny stuff is plastic wrap to make sure the mask doesen't get glued to the styrofoam.

...aaaaand last but not least, here are the lenses. Fabric mesh with soft clear plastic on top.

What I think he did was get aluminum, cut it to shape and out it on a wrist bad , the details could be made the same or something else

Great work dude, really coming together well :) Honestly, the front spider looks fine, as Fett said, only you will notice it. Shame about the paint smear but I think you covered it up well, again it's barely noticeable unless you're really looking for it.
Where did you get the 1mm urethane rubber from?

Fantastic!! every bit of this looks amazing!!!!
Thanks alot man! I really appreciate it :D

Super interesting lenses method. I've always wondered why people haven't used that more. Great work.
Thank you! I wanted to try something different, and I'm glad it worked out so well:)

One more thing: How'd you make those awesome webshooters? They look amazing.

Any chance of you sharing the modded pattern? I'm looking to do a Bagley build as well :)
Alot of people asked me about this but the reason I modded it was because I kinda wanted my suit to be unique. I know it sounds a bit selfish, but it took quite some time for me to get it to it's final stage. Besides, Dan Ryan, who made the original file removed the download link for it so I don't think he wants me to spread it around anyway. I really appreciate it though and I hope it's all good:)

If you would like to purchase the original pattern hit Dan Ryan up!

Pretty much! :)

Thank you so much man! I just went to my local hardware store here in Sweden, so it's nothing really specific. Should be able to find it at places like Home Depot though:)
