luke's rotj costume... (where to buy?)

i'm after a luke rotj costume, like this one:

anyone know where i can get a costume from? there seems to be a lot of leia and generic jedi costumes about, but havent seen this one. its mainly the top he's wearing i need, as i can get black pants and boots, anyone know what kind of shirt it is?

i've found a cheap version on ebay, unfortuntely it also looks cheap and not right. the main part i'm interested in is the shirt, are there any shirts out there that are similiar? it kind of looks like a chef's shirt

Sadly you will be hard pressed to find a shirt to match this from any off the rack source. It comes closer to a western bib shirt than a chef shirt, but you won't find one without buttonholes all over it much less one with a light grey underflap.

The reason you don't see many ROTJ Lukes around is because there are only 3-4 of us that make them. Its a pretty closed market.

I could do just a tunic for a little more than half what I quoted you for the tunic/pant set (the tunic is the hard part) if that's what you're looking for. Be careful matching a shirt to pants from different places though. All blacks are not created equal. Different manufacturers use different bases in their black dyes and you can really tell when you get a blue black up next to a red black.

yeah i made mine from scratch. used the civil war pattern used for imperial officers to make the shirt. slight modifications, and presto!

a luke shirt!

cost me prolly 7-10 bucks in material.
