After an oppressive Alien force has occupied Earth two young men find themselves in possession of an important item that could help the human resistance. Now they must make a choice between selflessly risking their lives for the good of mankind, or selfishly working towards their own survival...

If you like this please note that I am working on a Fallout short film with the same crew and am looking for props/costumes! Much darker, more violent, and grittier than a film like Nuka Break (based more on Fallout 3 than New Vegas).

Nice work, especially since done within the given time frame of under 48 hours, but bext time get a tripod, please, or at least a trash can or a bin or something to prop the camera on for those calm scenes in the dusk? ;)

Ah the restrictions of no budget, no permit filming. Tripods would have slowed us down (not good when you have to film magic hour light in several different locations) and attracted attention. It was a decision made early and sometimes pays off (hopefully it gives the film some energy/realism) and sometimes doesn't (just too shaky). For our Fallout film we are employing a shoulder mount and proper handheld rig so hopefully we will hit the balance between controlled and shaky just right! Thanks for watching!

It looks gorgeous. I like the concept, but the thing that stands out is the quality of the production, and some beautiful framing. Great work. If you want to talk props etc for your fallout project then send me a PM or contact me through my site at www.standingstonestudios.com , I'd love to know a bit more. Are you based in London?

Thank you all for the kind words. We filmed on a 7D with Nikon primes and a mattebox+ND's and edited/graded on FCP. Hopefully you can see how if we shot in a similar way but on a much bigger budget (for props/costumes etc) we could really do something special with Fallout. As it stands now we are aiming to shoot two scenes within a vault and the rest in the wasteland, it should have a variety of locations similar to this film (so not just in one specific locale) but be a much more Fallout specific look (greyer, more desolate etc).
