Looking for flexible foam for Jaffa gauntlets

Whilst rummaging through my garage the other day I came across a mold for some SG-1 Jaffa gauntlets I sculpted a while back. Shortly after I finished the sculpt I got a set of real ones and ever since this has sat in a box in the garage.

I did a quick urethane pull some years ago but as this was the first sculpt I ever did I'd love to get a good pull off it, just to say 'I made these'.

They were made to be flexible so I was wondering if anyone could guide me to a good flexible foam available in the UK as everything I find I think would expand too much.

Thank you

I think you should look at camping mats they are around two feet wide and six feet long. Igot mine from Home Bargains but I have seen them in pound stores albeit a thinner version. Thy are usually blue but come in different colours around 6mm thick and made of a foam type material. I have used them for a couple of years for various items I make. Hope this helps.:angel

Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry, I didn't really make myself clear, that's what I get for posting as I'm running out of the door.

I was after something like this but just something that doesn't expand 5-6 times. I know Tiranti's used to do one but that now seems to be discontinued. I have very little knowledge when it comes to flexible foam so any help or guidance would be gratefully received.

Your probably looking for something more like Smooth On's FlexFoam-it 17 (3.5x) and 25 (2.5x's). If you do a search, I think you might come up with someone that was using flex foam for a batman cowl, think it was a year ago. Might give you some in-site if the thread's still around to using the stuff. By my few pieces of jaffa armor I own, I'd almost say they mixed and painted it on a 1 sided mold and whatever it expanded it to is what it expanded to, no backer used
