Ok, since it's become abundantly clear that no one wants to pay for quality materials anymore, what's the absolute cheapest resin available, that's still hold a coat of paint?
Polyester resin has a much higher viscosity than say smoothcast so it has a tendency to trap more air bubbles in the detail areas. Its pretty good for making cheap support shells though. I did a polyester resin pour on my scout blaster mould just to see what the outcome would be. Needless to say I popped it out of the mold and straight in to the trash can...oh yeah and polyester resin stinks to high hell.
