Loki Avengers Build (Female design)

Ok so first off Hello everyone my name is Bronte but many call me BangBangNeko. I'm a long time lurker on these forum but I finally decided to join so this is my first time posting.

Anyways here is my attempt at creating a Loki costume based on the "The Avengers" but only I'm doing a female version and please no "Why do girls always make sexy versions of superheros" This isn't going to be some scantly clad costume and if I could pull off looking like I guy i'd totally pull off a male Loki but alas I can't; every time I do just look off.

The version of Loki i'm wanting to recreate is his "god" form (The all gold armor version)

I've got the jacket started but stopped since I don't have the green fabric to line it. Once I find the right fabric i'll post my progress photos of the jacket.

So far all I've got is his helmet.
I've re scuplted this helmet 4 times until I got to the point that I needed to move on or else it would never get finished. I'm too much of a perfectionist and it was making this project more work than fun. Anyways I started out sculpting on a Monster Makers head using white clay;
Here is a video showing me working on the sculptureSculpting my Loki Avengers Helmet - YouTube.

Total I spent 3 days working on it but only 3-4 hours each day; I then made a mold using TAPs rubber latex building up my layers over the days I had free time from work. After it was thick enough I made a hard outer mother shell using plaster bandages; would have used fiberglass but it's been really horrible weather so I went with the plaster bandages.

The horns were done pretty much the same way except I made a cast of them twice just so I could get the right shape. The first one was just used as a base; it was cast out of Smooth-on 300 white then sanded and bondo until I got the look I wanted. It was then I made the true mold for them, using the rubber latex and bandages.

The helmet was cast using Smooth-on 300 white and I slush cast it. It still needs to be patched up, sanded and the horns need to be sanded more then attached.

Thanks for checking out my work and i'll try to keep this page updated the best I can.

Good to see some more females joining up and making costumes. I am making a female Robin myself.

So far, it looks good! Are you creating the scepter as well?

Thank You and glad to see others like myself ^-^ I love to see what people come up with.
First I'm going to make the staff then i'll make the scepter.

WOW! Looks amazing so far.
So glad to see other ladies take on the male Loki helmet.

I'll be watching this closely.
I hope to make a Loki helmet myself when I have more funds. I made a Loki costume earlier this year, but it was a quick budget build and all paper mache so it looked a bit naff.
