Life size Skiff for Invasion Belfast II

Here is a few pics of a project (one of many) for the second Invasion Belfast, Northern Ireland on Oct 3rd and 4th 2009 being held in the Odyssey Arena.

This is a Star Wars convention organized by the Emerald Garrison (Knights of the Empire) http://www.emeraldgarrison.ie

Some of our very talented members have been working behind the scenes on props of all kinds from creature builds to cross sections of helmets, lightsabers etc.

Some pics of creature masks. Of course, the skiff wouldn't be complete without these guys!!!

I wish I would have known, I could have saved you some work. I did the Cantina Band Member already:

..and I'll be starting up on a totally screen accurate (full size and accurate down to the last wrinkle) Weequay with full bib next.

Ive got some REALLY good references on this thing when it was on display in SF - 360 and every last detail. The neck bib actually goes down pretty far and it has LOADS of deep, deep wrinkles.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one interested in this stuff!
