Life size Luke on Tauntaun, PICS!

Fantastic piece. Great work on the fur; looks very life-like.

The tauntaun is made using white beaded foam along with the snow base. I then use 2 part epoxy to sculpt the facial details in and also do the same for the mouth and horns. After that I applied fake fur which I lightly spray painted over to get the correct coloring and blending on the edges. The saddle is made from fiberglass and the pouches from found items. The electrobinoculars I got off line along with the saber and blaster.

Now the next thing is to figure out what to make next! LOL

I like the fact that you nailed the pose.mMost 1:1 figures have a kind of "stilted" look. Yours looks just like a frame grab. Nice.

Rich, you know how I feel about this tauny! (hint... I freakin' love it!)

For anyone who's checked out Rich's site and might be considering working with him, let me say this:

I'm going on probably 14 or 15 years of friendship with Rich. For the last 6 or 7 years, he's almost always had one (or more) projects going with my company.

He is the most dependable, honest, thorough and diversely talented person I think I've ever encountered.

I often say that someone who creates a complex way to build something is great, but the guy who finds a simple way to do it is a genius. Rich is a genius.

And you won't find a nicer guy. He is a joy to work with every step of the way and the whole team at TSD always looks forward to the times where we have Rich on site with us somewhere.

I can't wait to see what you build next bud!
