Life size Luke on Tauntaun, PICS!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post some pics of my latest replica, a life size Luke riding a tauntaun!


This piece started out as just a bust of the tauntaun but after completing it my customer decided that he wanted to take it to another level and go with a full figure with Luke in the saddle! I constructed the tauntaun, the base and also the saddle and most of the accessories. The Luke costume my customer was able to provide for me which I then fit to modified mannequin.


This had to be one of the most challenging pieces I have made to date however it was also one of the most rewarding. I would like to thank my customer for having enough faith in me to pull this project off

Holy geez, that's fantastic! The detail in the face of the tauntaun really is exquisite!

Is this an outdoor sculpture? If so, I hope it's going to be someplace where there's snow? I have to imagine it'd look spectacular against an actual snowscape.

Also... does the stomach unzip ?
