Life lesson learned

No the package was not sent to my address. Ups verified this. They finally sent me a PDF file with the address of where it went to. Walmart of all places. I called and they have no idea where it is. It wasn't a site to store purchase. Was received by someone there named Tori who signed for it. So at least I have something to show PayPal now

You should be good to go then! (y)

Now you have the information to bring up to Paypal customer service - they can help you. Good luck - but you won't need luck when you have enough facts to present. Paypal does not want to make the mistake either. If Fraud is proved on the sellers part in a customer dispute - Paypal will close their account.

Soo. Received an email this morning about the claim....PayPal again ruled against me. I've contacted my bank and have disputed the charge and we will see how that goes.

If Walmart was a UPS pick up station - You can file a claim with UPS. Using that number. If they say it was delivered and picked up by someone - you have to show ID at a UPS distribution point.

Knowing who the seller is won't help. They change sites/names and become someone new after burning people.
I was duped as well over a Captain America shield priced too good to believe (and I shouldn't have).
They did the same, only provided tracking number when I voiced a desire for a refund.
What I received was a joke, it looked like it was made by a 6 year old.
PayPal sided with me but told me it was my cost to absorb returning it---to china.
I showed them the original advertisement that clearly stated hassle free returns. They claimed they can't enforce a companies policy.
Well, I told them to shove it.
Called my CC, filed a chargeback. They demanded an appraisal! Like WTF! where was I going to get that???
Then it hit me----I know the perfect person to ask and no one will second guess their judgement.
I called the same folks that appraise for Pawn Stars. They were angels and drafted a letter based on the pictures I sent and the description from the web site. My CC gave me a full refund.

Lesson learned. No more shady purchases and make damn sure it isn't a seller in china.

Did you see the reddit post I listed earlier? The OP of that post successfully fought the charge and noted that PayPal said they were aware of this company’s shady practices. Maybe you could get in touch with the OP of that reddit post for more info.

I again called PayPal today. The people I have talked to have been very nice. I again explained my side. I also stated again that there has been no communication from anyone related to the website and the phone number listed gets me nowhere. I also explained that I was never made aware that my package has been "dropped off" at Walmart. Ups does not have a pickup or dropoff site there. So we will see once again.

Also the weight of the ant man helmet is around 5 to 8 lbs in the box I believe.
The weight on UPS site says 1.5 lbs.

Not much. The first two times they ruled in favor of the seller since there was a tracking number. Even though I provided the document that shows it was sent to my local walmart. Let's see what the third time does

I wouldn't paint the entire country with that brush. All my eBay dealings with China were fine. Mind you, I only buy from sellers with a long history and a good reputation and avoid deals that seem too good to be true. The only problems that I have ever had were from North and South America.

You opened a dispute. PayPal will close its own file once they receive the paperwork from your CC. At this point, your CC is the deciding entity, not PayPal. I would imagine that once you show them the order details with your address, the delivery details showing a different address, they will issue a full credit, taking the $ right out of PayPal accounts---no asking, no waiting, no seeking permission---just whisking it away in the twilight of night when most banking transactions finalize. PayPal deserves it when this happens, they act like judge, jury and executioner with zero oversight because they are technically, not a financial institution. Best of luck to you but I think it will be ruled in your favor.

Honestly, if paypal cannot honour its agreement that it clearly spells out, then I would think about closing the account with them - I did. I said earlier that paypal generally sides with the buyer, but the one time that paypal didn't have my back as a buyer was with a dispute I had with a large Chinese seller, whom they make a lot of money on. I assumed they sided with them purely for monetary reasons and didn't want to risk losing their business. Like USS Endeav said above, PP thinks it is above the law and doesn't seem to have much accountability or oversight, from my perspective. Also, you have to ask yourself if all the time, effort, and stress spent on those phone calls to the morons at PP are worth it , don't forget that your time is valuable, not to them of course, but to you. Good luck and keep us informed! I want to hear a success story against those crooks!

No go on pay pal again! Ruled against me for the third time! So I'm waiting to hear my banks decision since I used a debit card through PayPal. I really would drop them after this but I buy and sell through eBay every now and then. Not sure how else I would do that.
