Licensed Predator 2 Disc

The electronics are superb! The disc itself simply isn't "accurate."

I provided MR with a lot of material to do a disc that never panned out due to the poor sales of the combi-spear I helped them create. I always thought the disc should have been done first. It certainly would have sold much better than the spear, in my opinion.

I wish HGC had come to me. I would have offered them everything I gave MR.

In addition, I created sound samples taken from the film that simulate the disc opening and closing.

Otherwise, it's a really extraordinary piece. I simply wish it had been made accurate to all of the originals that I've owned and/or seen. Particularly since this has been my holy grail prop ever since I started collecting.

Mmm...pity they didn't but it seems to be the best of the bunch thus far. Why not use that eye for detail and all that info and try to start up an RPF exclusive run in kit form or something Phil? I'd sure like to tackle something like that myself......

"Hi Simon,
The Predator 2 Cutting Disc is a set and we do not sell the disc alone.

So much for the customer always being right. :unsure

"No sale" here - shame cos the FX are brill.

Uh, question. Did you try going to HGC yourself? They probably weren't even aware of you at the time this disc was conceived.

In regards to the base, I still don't know what the fuss is about. i think the base is pretty cool looking and on a decision making process very appropriate for this prop. Would you prefer Danny Glover's hand?
:)

Was this not cast from the hero disc and painted by Stan Winston Studios?
Yet it's still being labelled as inaccurate. Interesting.

The problem is that it looks different to every single picture of the disc that I (and I imagine everyone else) have ever seen. It would be nice if they would back up their claims and produce the original that they're basing it on, as they did with the P1 bio. People still *****ed about it, but it took a lot of the wind out of their sails. I think people would love to know for a fact that this is the hero prop that has just never been seen this clearly before, but until then, everyone is going to be skeptical.

I had no idea they were doing this piece. Besides, they're making the item so the onus is on them to perform due diligence locating source material for a product they plan to manufacture.

I emailed HCG re UK distribution - just had a reply stating that none has been appointed yet. With other items it has been Prop Store of London - fingers crossed we get a distributer here in the UK, makes it easier if any problems arise - eg electronics!!!
