Wow! Very interesting.
A Medicom "Future Car" typically goes for more than the price of this box set, and you still have to do all the conversion work to turn it into a Spinner.

EDIT: Couldn't stand it. . . pre-ordered thru HLJ. :)

The Spinner that comes with the disc(s) is about 9 1/4". I think that is about the size of the Medicom version, from years back. Very nice!

They release one of these with the Blade Runner special edition DVD a couple of years back. It was really terrible quality and only about 3 inches in length. The set also had a plastic cast origami unicorn as well.

"This set includes a 23.5 cm long Mav Police Spinner Miracle Action Vehicle as well as the "Blade Runner - The Final Cut + Work Print" on Blu-Ray. Note that this Blu-Ray disc is NOT region-specific, and can be played anywhere in the world. "

Different set. Different spinner. bigger. better. :)

Of course, happy to help.

If I come across more pics, I'll shoot you guys a heads up.

Cheers.

This could be the hybrid Mad Max BoB / Spinner ive been planning for a while, why not combine the two greatest vehicles in movie history?

Can anyone tell me why the Japanese always refer to the date in BR as 2020 on everything? Ive got a few things from Japan with this date printed on them.

Damn it! Right after I ordered the Final Cut on DVD, this comes out! Man, that spinner looks soooo freaking awesome.

That was the original date for the year in the movie. It was changed last thing so as not to sound too much like 20-20 vision. Roy's incept date is also 2016, meaning his four year life span should actually end in 2020. It may not have been updated for the Japanese market.

Care to share some info on your lighting kit?!

I have the medicom version sitting here still stock, been looking for a kit to light it for ages, with this new one coming out, would make it even easier.

I know it's imported from Japan, and it's a large, high-quality spinner replica along with the Blu-Ray disc, but... $180?!?!? :eek

PASS! :thumbsdown

Thanks Andy, that clears it up.

Mechinyun, this thread will show you better, i dont think the conversion kits are available anymore.

JTC, if your not into it your not into it but this is exceptional value.
This is what the only previous version of this spinner looked like when it was on sale over 10 years ago....

After you spend up to $300US for that, you would then have to spend around another $200US for the other bits needed, $50US for paint and around 20-50 hours to get it to this......

Deal of the Century for a BR fan.

With all the renewed interest in BR over the last few years you would think that someone would just re-release the damned model kit.

If I want one, I have to buy an exorbitantly expensive boxed set containing a medium I don't currently utilize. Yay....:thumbsdown
