Las Vegas Star Trek

I'm 99.99999% positive that the Star Trek Experience was shut down at the Hilton in Las Vegas a few years back, but are there any remnants around that are worth seeing? Are there any sci-fi related things anywhere in Vegas that are a must-see or worth seeing?

Other than Star Trek & sci-fi, what else is recommended?

Belaggio fountains, roller coaster on the stratosphere, fire a machine gun, pastrami sandwich at the Mirage. Circle bar at the Venetian, its like being in a shark tank but with whores. Don't put your hands or feet outside the cage. People watching on the strip. Just walk up and down.
Every casino has bait. The idea is to get the cheese without springing the trap.

Thanks for the tops guys-- I've planned on doing a few of those things plus got a couple of good suggestions from you.

So the Star Trek Experience is definitely and with all certainty gone, correct? I was really hoping to see that again, but I guess I missed my chance a few years ago.

Is there anything else in town that is similar that I can talk my non-geeky friends in seeing that is sci-fi related like the ST Experience was, even if on a smaller scale?

Don't forget the buffets, if you like to eat or just like food there are some good buffets to be found in Vegas. The Rio has a pretty good buffet but my favorite is the buffet at The M Resort which is about 10 - 15 minutes from the strip heading towards the state line between NV & CA, by far the best buffet I've ever had in Vegas.

and if you're going all that way and have a day free, do one of the bus tours to the Grand Canyon...just to see it. It looks like a photo. Wanted to throw a rock at it to see if it wavered - too big to comprehend at first.
