Lanyard rings!

Question for you folks. I've been looking around for some lanyard rings and can't really find any that aren't pretty expensive. I need one to finish up a project and figured I'd ask you fine fellows.

I'm happy to assist in the search. Just a couple questions so I don't inadvertently give information that isn't useful:

• Where have you already looked?
• What price qualifies as "pretty expensive"... or, to put it another way, what price range are you trying to stay within? :confused

With that info at hand, I'm sure somebody here can help you find what you need.

I found one site (Parts - Shopping Cart) that looked to sell them for specific guns. Those were listed as 40-50 bucks a pop.

Other than that one I couldn't find many other places that sold ones that look like my pic above.

As for price, the 40-50 bucks a pop was a wild amount to me but I understand if they are just selling them for a specific model and are hard to find. I was thinking maybe 5ish bucks a piece because of the amount of materials they use and the fact that they don't look too hard to make.

I'll have to do a bit more research, these DO seem to be hard to find. Do you have a local gun shop you could check with? :confused

If not, I have one nearby I could pop into.

In the meantime, I wonder if something like THIS could be adapted for the job? :confused

I don't know why i didn't think of a gun shop, I have one by me here. It's Texas after all. Also that thing you linked could work and it just looks cool either way.

I've used these several times to make my own lanyard rings...
1-1 8 Screw Ring Antique Brass 3pk N259-838 V2511 - N259-838 - Picture Hangers - Hanging Hardware

They're cast metal, not super strong, but can be easily modified for props. I trim the ends and replace the rings. I used a couple on my replica bronze cast Webley and another for a lightsaber loop attachment.
They're perfect for a low cost alternative.

They're available at most local hardware stores.
