I disagree Adam Driver is 6'4. The screen helmet is huge and pretty long aswell. The Black Series one is definitely not an accurate size.

Being 6'4" is irrelevant. Everything we've seen on screen and in person shows that the black series lines up almost perfectly size wise.
We've him on screen with Troopers, and his helmet is clearly smaller. It isn't "huge."

I gotta agree his height doesn't matter as much when it comes to the size of his helmet. Unless you're 7ft tall and built the bs should be the right scale. When you see him onscreen with people who are not wearing helmets you can see that his helmet is a lot smaller than troopers helmets.
I have a few of my clients sending me Thier Black Series helmets for accurizing modding. I'll post some pics here when I have one finished.
Looks to be a pretty good product, ripe for modification. I'm sure once the Anovos helmet arrives to customers, the debate over the actual size will be over.

I'm just offering my personal input. No need for an army of comments. It does look like a big helmet.
But I don't understand stand if both helmets are supposed to be scans, why they look so different.

I seem to remember someone saying ABS plastic doesn't do fine-detail so well. And that's what the Hasbro is made from.
Only the Anovos should be a scan from the Originaldesign.But we also didn´t know whats that exactley means.
And your right...when Anovos really comes out with helmet is a big secret.So the Black Series could be the best Kylo helmet for a long time.
But I think for under 100$ and some work its ok to have it in the collections...also if the Anovos is better at the end.

Abs can take pretty good detail. Maybe he was talking about as a3d printer filament?
The real difference between a good abs piece and a not so good one, is the mold they use to make it. The finer the details the more expensive the mold. Undercuts and recesses contribute more as to the look of a finished cast abs piece as the mold has to be able to release the piece without damage and do it repeatedly. I've heard molds for plastic parts can cost upwards of 50k even 100k.
When it comes to mass produced items in plastic, for sure. You think of how many times that mold can be pulled from, include the R&D to go into it, the cost of materials, and then duplicating it so you can make multiple pulls at once, then replace them once they start crapping out so that they can create the millions of items that go on sale. Not to mention the actual labour to mold and cast the item, too!

I was planning on buying the black series or the frontal mask with the voice box and rip it out and place into another helmet. Does anyone know if these are voice activated or if you have to push a button to talk? If I can get away with the mask for cheaper that would be good but all the research I am doing can't seem to find if either one is voice activated or not. Thanks for the help.

On the Black Series, you press the button once to turn the voice changer on, and the other button is to change the pitch. You don't have to hold it to talk, if that's what you're asking.
Just a fair warning... The voice changer in it absolutely sucks.

Thanks for the help, so either way a button will need to be pushed. Guess I will go with the mask. On the crappy sound I have heard that also. I am thinking though if you take out the oval voice catcher, turn the mic around and pad the helmet with foam around the mic to decrease the echo effect and add a new amplifier it might sound better. At least I am willing to give it a shot. Just need to figure out how to press a button while in the mask unless I run a wire in my sleeve to a finger. Thanks again

I'm getting a bunch of guys sending me Thier Black Series lid for modification services and since the electronics not only suck but have to be removed for mods, alot of people are gonna want this feature.

Okay are they discontinuing these helmets because I can't find them locally anywhere and every site that has a local store just aboust, has either taken down the page that displayed the item or it just gives an error. Could they be releasing a new helmet instead? I wouldn't want to get it from Amazon if they are.
The stock is probably exhausted due to the popularity of the movie and the holidays.
