Knife of Titus Pullo (Rome)

I LOOOOOOOOVE Rome and while waiting for paint, putty or resin to dry on a huge project, I decided to make a copy of Titus Pullo's knife.

This scene is where Pullo takes Eirene out in the country. He takes out a knife to use a mirror.

It looks like a pugio but considering how crude it is, I suspect Pullo lifted it off a dead Gaul.

I used four layers of 1/4" MDF, shellac, paint and leather and whipped together this quick prop!

I'd hate to get stabbed by a blade this wide! Owie!

Man, am I embarrassed! Somehow the images were saved in CMYK instead of RGB. :redface:redface Strange that Safari still showed them OK, even without distorting the color...All should be good now!

Also, I neglected to say that there are a few more WIP pictures on the blog!
