Knackered bio- Wise men to the rescue

Feast your eyes, knights of the predator realm if you will, on 1 x buggered bio. I ve aquired this thing in the hope of rescuing it, however I have no idea how to. The pictures show it has 2 main cracks in the temple area, and its quite fragile, it seems quite thin on the edges, and on the right hand side, as you look at it, theres is a big chunk missing, seems to have cracked off.The cracks are easy to fix, but does anyone have ideas for some kind of material that may help 'fill' in that gaping wound on said mask?

I think the best approach would be to either

- use fiberglass mats to put on the defective parts then pour resin on it (in tiny amounts and from the inside of course)

- use fibreglass paste to sculpt onto the thing from the inside also (while holding/pushing it together so that the cracks are closed), let that cure and sand it off (there will be quite a bit to sand down); also good to make the thin parts thicker.

Second approach works for sure, as the paste dries and hardens out really fast. First approach takes a little time, while you have to make sure the bio is always keeping the shape it's supposed to have.

I'd go with second approach.

I know, I like this particular bio and it seemed a shame to just let it sit there all broken and miserable. Time to fix!

It looks like and all resin bio, so if you use fibreglass be careful of how much you apply in one go as the heat when curing could warp the resin. I'd most likely try backing it with fibreglass cloth....Rough the surface up a bit so the resin and cloth have a mechanical bond with the BIO. then on the outside use some filler or better yet some epoxy putty like milliput, this way you can get a smooth transition between the damaged parts, plu you can sculpt the hammered detail into it to using a ball stylus or the like. Once done and painted you shouldn't be able to tell therer was any damage.

Or, accentuate the damage and run with it. Like this hunter has been through some heavy hunts. Maybe hes been running with the Pred from the new movie.

battle damage ALWAYS rocks !! It'll make the bio unique and all yours, I'm all for the accentuating it idea. :D

done any work on this? would likke to see how you pathed it or damaged ir up. caught my eye. and if you aint oging to do anything with it toss it over here ill give it the once over with the dremel. JK

Im in the desert! Only had a few days at home when I posted this- I will get to work on it when I get back! Trust me Im more frustrated than anyone!
