Bought this beautiful Kong and Naomi Watts garage kit here in the JY a couple years back, (maybe less) and I just got around to putting the arms and legs on , and here it is after one coat of (flat black) spray paint.
Anyone out there with pix of this thing finished? Just being a reference hog, I got a lot of film screenshots, but always could use more reference.

It's truly a lovely sculpt. Kong's stance is perfect. I'm quite happy with the arm seams. They're pretty minimal. Tomorrow I hit it with some oils.

BTW, I posted this on Twitter, you can follow my (sometimes prop related) exploits there, username donttrythis.

adam out.

That's looking super cool. You did the blending of the seamlines on arms perfectly. I got my eyes on this progress! :thumbsup

Weird. It was clearly there in my preview post. Here's a link to the twitpic page

Here's a link to the pic itself

Here's me attempting another picture in the post:

The Twitpic loads but the link to the pic as well as your second attempt at loading an image seem to have encountered unexpected problems. ;)

The Kong looks great, looking forward to more progress pix.

Oh, that is so insanely cool, Adam. PLEASE keep us updated with progress pics! I would kill for one of these kits. I adore Jackson's Kong.

I will take some nice photos tomorrow and post them, so you can see my work. Never painted a figure before and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Here's Ann Darrow halfway done.

And here she is 95% done
http://twitpic.com/x9zt

I say 95% because it's 2am in the farking morning, and I have no idea how much work she might need by the light of day. Tomorrow, time to fire up the airbrush and start to work on KONG!

For never having done one, she's looking excellent. However, if you find yourself unhappy with it, I'd be happy to paint her for you free of charge. I used to paint figures professionally for catalogs. Just zip me a PM if interested.

Thank you! I really appreciate the offer, but I'm pleased enough with my product that I'm going to stick with it.
