Hello,

I started to make a Kill bill Bride's sword, using some real temperline 1095 steel blade, glossy black sheat, japanese accurate tsuba, menuki, seppa, sageo and tsuka ito, real rayskin, and JBlackey casts of the fuchi kashira and kojiri (bronze casts)
I did hand engraving and gold painting on sheat, and hand engraved shishi on blade, giving it a really accurate look.
I also sanded the tsuba to remove existing black paint and made burnishing to get real black steel color, gives a better look, closer to a real katana and not a toy.
Here is the WIP thread:

Due to the lack of interestet I cancel the run, it makes lots of work and investment for me to make a correct job.
I will sell one blade with parts to anyone who wants to finish a sword, it may be possible to ask directly to Jblackey to make the handle.

Damn - if only I could afford/justify spending that much... have been wanting an accurate KB sword for years.

I know it makes a bit of money, but as mentioned, I spent about half this price just for the parts, and still don't have the rayskin yet...
Spent about 8 or 9 hours on the lion engraving.
