Just how long was the spaceball 1 model?

I was watching spaceballs last night and of course there is that infamous opening scene of the spaceball 1 and how it goes on and on. The model must have been immense! Finally, it has just got under my skin for too long now and I need to ask, does anyone know how long the studio model was?

I think it was 16 feet long. Last thing I heard was it's in storage in Van Nuis, CA.
