I just found this out, and I don't know if any one else has talked about it. I decided to do a search for a list of dead film directors in relation to a story idea I'm working on. I literally typed in "dead film directors" in Yahoo! Search and I was caught completely off guard when I discovered that Richard Sarafian, director of the Talky Tina episode of The Twilight Zone and the 1971 car chase classic Vanishing Point, passed away last month on the 22nd. Vanishing Point is one of my favorite movies, and probably one of the most influential movies to me (in fact, it was this film that inspired a character of mine, who I consider to be a nephew of Kowalski from the original film). I'm sorry to hear about his passing away, especially so late. He was 83 years old.
