Where do I buy Jelly Babies (In Canada)

I'm doing an 11th Doctor Cosplay, and Thought it would be nice to have Jelly Babies involved. It just seems good.

Find your local "British Food Shop". They stock lots of stuff made in Britain, Jelly Babies are amongst those treats. :)

Don't know where in Canada you are but if you're in the GTA there's a shop in Burlington and one at Eglinton Mall.

Yeah I'm in Toronto. although I'm actually going to be back in Ottawa (where I'm from) next week...and I know a British food shop there. lols.

You could always do what i did. Date, and get engaged to an Australian (Or english) girl. They have Jelly Babies in Australia as well, and she sends them to me by the cubic ton. They're yummy. But seriously, they have them online on british food sites, and honestly arn't that expensive. Also, there are specialty stores that have them. We have a couple places here that have them, like Publix food mart, in the ethnic isle.

I forgot to mention tho, the ones i got at Publix tasted like crap. Look at the australian stores for the natural confectionary company ones. Those are the really good ones.

There is a store in Ottawa called the Scottish and Irish Store, which has a whole section dedicated to British food, including really wierd soft drinks. I'm sure I can find Jelly Babies.

How sure am I? I'm so sure that I'm having my friends suit up in their 9 and 10 costumes, whilst I suit up in my 11, and we are going together.

If only the busses were blue. :p

the real Jelly babies are made by a company called rowntrees. i'm pretty sure they are the same one the Doctor favors too. i love em.... not quite as good as a gummy bear but close.

I second (third?) the British food shop idea, I found one in Kelowna BC and it had them in packages and in bulk! I was very pleased.

In Toronto, most of the Sugar Mountain candy shops have them.

Costco World Mart carries them. Most large cities have a world market/ethnic food shop or british food store you can get them from bassett's is supposed to be the best but I quite like Tavener's as well. Norfolk Manor is alright too.

If you don't have a store near you there's lots of online options to buy Jelly babies (and other british candies). www.britishfoodshop.com is one.

The 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) made the popularly associated with the Doctor but the 2nd Doctor (Troughton) ate them as well.

Yeah, Baker did, Troughton did, and Jelly Babies appear in the 90's movie as well.

and we'll try the Sugar mountains if we cant find it at the shop.

Honestly, the only time i can remember Jelly babies being in the new series was when the Master offered his wife one on the Valient.

IMO the Bassett's Jelly Babies are completely disgusting. I've never tried any of the other brands. In SoCal you can get them on board the Queen Mary in the Scottish Heritage store.

You could ask one of the many british people to send you some, itll probably cost you half the price! The british store are proper expensive!

Kevsweb, I probably will end up doing that in the future, but for now, we make a trek to a british food store!
