Jeepers Creepers

This is a replica of the Creeper from the Jeepers Creepers movies that I made. The costume was pretty much made from scratch and based on pictures I got from Brian Penikas, the make-up artist for the movies. The head uses one of Brian's masks and hats that he sells.

What was really cool was I sent Brian some pictures of the figure and he forwarded them to the movie's director, who contacted me about getting permission to use them for a presentation he was doing (I'm hoping it was to get funding for Jeepers Creepers III).

i really like jeepers creepers... I thought that the creeper was a totally new and different kind of monster...his weapons made out of his victims and maybe he was coming to get ya, and maybe he wasn't, and maybe, you are just in the way... I do hope there are many jeepers creepers movies... the third one should take place in the barn where it left off with him nailed up on the inside of.. very cool...

I've been told the next movie, which should be out next year, starts in the past and we'll finally get to see the origins of the Creeper. Then it moves forward to the barn, and then to Trisha Jenner from the first movie.

I was thinking that if they did something other than the barn, it might be stupid... however origins.... that is something altogether a different story... That would rule.... We would finally get to see more and learn more about the creeper..Very cool.....

The second movie opened at the end of the same 23-day cycle that Derry and Trish had their run in with the Creeper, and ended with the barn scene happening just before the next cycle 23 years later. The storyline is supposed to be Trish has grown up and has a son, and she starts having nightmares that what happened to Derry will happen to her son.

I'm guessing the Creeper's going to lay waste to the Taggerts when he wakes up, but it'll be interesting to see what the motivation for him going after Trish and her kid is.

Nice work and set up!

I remember seeing Jeepers Creepers in the theater opening night and everyone in the theater was getting creeped out and jumping at parts. Then when his wing pops out after being hit, dumb kids start saying, "This is dumb!"
Same people that were jumping and screaming a few minutes ago were now putting down on it cause it all of a sudden turned into a monster movie, rather than a demented serial killer movie. tsk tsk tsk. Some people just have no imagination. I always love Jeepers Creepers and the mythos that it established with the monster.

I went the opposite way. When I saw the truck scene, I thought "crap... another demented driver killing teens" movie. Then when you first see the Creeper outside the church, and he looks like some redneck, I thought "even worse, another Texas Chainsaw Massacre clone". Then the kids got to the restaurant, and I was thinking "another of these movies where everyone in town knows what's going on and they're calling the killer right now" movies.

But then the cops showed up, and they weren't relatives of the killer, then you see his face for the first time at Brennan's house and that's the first you realize the Creeper isn't human. That was great stuff to me because it's rare nowadays when a movie is that good at misdirecting us jaded horror fans.
